Manifest Destiny

By Michal Wallace (blog)

This is a short novel I wrote in the summer of 1996, right before I turned 19. The writing is very uneven, and in parts downright bad, and some parts are too cute for their own good (like the star trek parody) but I think the story itself is actually pretty decent.

Maybe some day I'll get around to rewriting this thing. But in the meantime...

Welcome to Manifest Destiny! It's got anarchy! Bureaucracy! Trolls! Airships! Self-help gurus! Giant computers with ESP! It's got a variety of beautiful women, a fleet of accountants, and a cameo appearance by the author himself! Now, for the first time ever, I'm making Manifest Destiny available on the web!

Zenheads and the Art of Airship Maintenance In which a popular sci-fi TV show is parodied, much to the author's embarrasment..
