Hey Dave,

Just wanted to say I think you're right on with the competition thing. I wasn't thrilled when weblogs.com sprang up to compete with Linkwatcher, but I'd hate to live in a world where you couldn't even try.

Regardless of whether or not it's ethical to slap a patent on a software concept, it's lazy. Competition means we innovate or we disappear. Anything that stifles competition stifles the need to innovate, and that's just bad for everyone.

Anyway, kudos for speaking up.
