work

Mostly my life right now consists of work. I work for a company called Abel Solutions. We build interactive web and intranet applications for big companies and organizations, like CARE and GeorgiaNet and the state of South Dakota. I've done work for all of them, but most of my stuff is hiding behind firewalls or was done on the backend, so you can't take a look.

hobbies

I spend a lot of time writing code for fun, too. Well, I really just feel compelled to do it sometimes. Most of that involves tinkering with my web sites. I have about four of them, at last count. I love to write, but I haven't written a story in ages.

I love acting and improv, but I haven't done that either.

I also love to draw. I draw all the time. One of these days, I'll scan in some of my artwork and put it on and around this site.

I love teaching. I'm a damn good reading tutor. But I don't do that, anymore, either...

people

I don't know too many people since I left school and moved to Georgia about two and a half years ago. I could tell you all about the folks I do know and love, but you'll probably never meet them, so why bother?

Well, you might meet Zach. Or Kim and Tom. They're all trying to be famous. Why are so many of my friends self-help trainers? Ugh. I suppose there are some decent lawyers or high school principals in the world, too.

after the burnout

Well, all that work had me burnt out and rather unhappy. So: I quit my job.. Only, they asked me back. So really, I just cut back my hours at work. Then I made a deal with Zach, where I teach him how to sling code, and he's helping me improve my social life. Together we're starting our own web services company, and in my spare time I'm going back to school at Georgia Perimeter College.

Huh. I'm going to bed. Maybe my next bio will be more cheery.
