accountability: week 1 review
I got a lot done last week. Woke up at 10:00AM every morning (even when I wanted to sleep in). Also got all my goals accomplished, with plenty of time leftover.
A couple days in, it really hit me that if I could get a goal done when $10 was on the line, I could get it done any time. I always knew that intellectually. But the accountability experience made it so much more real.
So this week I ramped it up considerably. In addition to my 10:00AM wakeup call, I've got 10 cornerhost-specific mini projects that I'm determined to accomplish. I'm also cutting out all refined sugar
from my diet.
Those are the goals I'm accountable for as far as Zach is concerned.
I'm also committing something to myself: to eat six small meals a day, lift weights three days, and do cardio (stone mountain) three days. Same daily schedule as Body for Life, but with the weightlifing scaled back a bit.
Sticking to a plan like that is an exercise of personal power.
In the past, my attempts to stick to a plan have just fizzled out. But the truth is, I have no excuse not to be in shape and do things
that improve my health. On the other hand, I don't buy the argument that I have to follow a particular plan to the letter. I don't see any reason I need to look like a superhero. I just want to be slim and healthy. So I'm just going to set my sites there and make sure there's no way it can't happen.
