aging receivables
I'm trying to figure out how to code an aging receivables report. The idea is that you show your receivables broken down into columns based on how old they are. Then it's easy to see that, say, person X has owed me $100 for 3 months, whereas person Y also owes me $100 but only since yesterday.
Once I have this, I'll know who I need to "get tough" with. That's really not my favorite part of running a business, but if you don't do it, some people just take advantage of you. So here we go.lojban lesson 1
I'm trying to clean up my personal directories and move the business-related stuff to another server, so I keep finding old things I've done.
The pimsleur-method inspired conversational lojban lesson that I wrote is probably one of the best "little"
sites I've ever done. It fell off the net when I moved to the new server, and I just now put it back online. Go through it (takes about 5 minutes) and I bet you'll learn something about speaking lojban. :)
am I nuts?
I don't remember this at all, but apparently, I once had a conversation with an imaginary happy face.speaking of google and the phone...
Hey! I went looking around google.com to see if I could find documentation for the reverse phone lookup, and found this instead. You call google up on the phone, and a nice female voice asks you for search keywords. Then you say your search phrase, and click on a link. It shows you the latest search. Then it asks you again, and you say something else, and it shows you the search results for that. (The results page is on a timer to refresh). Slick! :)
More fun toys are at google labs...google does reverse phone lookups
This is neat. You can type a phone number into google and it'll give you the owner's name and address. For example, suppose you get a crank call from (202) 456-1414. You could search for that number in google and it would tell you the government really is out to get you. :)
If you search for my cellphone number, the address doesn't come up, but it does find cornerhost and sabren.net. :)
